Christmas Cat

Jasmine's going to get a special Christmas present this year. We're adopting a cat. One of our neighbours in our apartment building is looking for someone to take on their cat so I pounced on the opportunity. She claims her sone developed alergies this year and she can't have cats around. She has two of them so we're getting one.

Now this is a big step for us since this is our first walking pet. I mean we have a fish tank but it's not the same right? I'm just concerned with her scratching the leather couch and all. I will have to get her spayed but i'm not so sure about the declawing. There seems to be a mixed feeling out there on the subject. She will mainly be an indoor cat so defense is not an issue. Well, in any case, I'll keep an eye on her and see what the damadge is.

We are getting her on Cristmas day so that will be a treat. My kids have been talking about a pet (dog or cat) for some time but I have brushed it off at every mention of it. They seem to think they will never have a pet so when they see "Purr", the cats name, they will freek out!

I used to have a cat when i was single. I've always loved cats. Well, I know that's strange for a manly man to like cats but hey, guys like cats too ya know.
